Our Story

From the Stage to the Studio

A Studio built with purpose

A Studio built with purpose

Broadway Arts Studio was founded by husband-and-wife team Darcie Roberts Magino and Troy Magino to create the kind of performing arts community they would want for their own children.

Drawing from their experience on stage, screen, and in the classroom, they built a studio where exceptional training and genuine care go hand in hand—a place where students are challenged to grow while feeling supported, valued, and at home.

A life in the Performing Arts

A life in the Performing Arts

Long before Broadway Arts Studio opened its doors, Darcie and Troy built careers across nearly every corner of the entertainment industry.

Their experience spans Broadway, regional theatre, television, film, concerts, recordings, commercials, voice-over, choreography, creative direction, Disney Entertainment, and university instruction.

They have performed alongside, collaborated with, and helped develop some of the industry’s most celebrated artists. They have taught master classes around the world and mentored performers who have gone on to work professionally on Broadway, in television, in film, and throughout the music industry.

But the most important lessons they carried forward were not only about performance.

They learned the value of discipline, preparation, collaboration, resilience, generosity, and showing up fully for the people around you.

Those lessons became the foundation of BROADWAY ARTS STUDIO.

A place to grow

Every student comes to Broadway Arts Studio with a different goal. Some are stepping into a class or onto a stage for the first time. Others are preparing for competitive teams, conservatory programs, college, or professional opportunities.

Wherever they begin, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, take creative risks, and discover what they are capable of.

Through dance, theatre, acting, voice, productions, and performance programs, they build more than technique. They learn confidence, resilience, collaboration, and how to support the people around them.

Success looks different for every student—and every breakthrough matters.

Talent matters, but so does character. Students are expected to treat their teachers, castmates, teammates, and themselves with respect.

Our story continues with every student

Our story continues with every student

Broadway Arts Studio began with Darcie and Troy’s desire to share what a lifetime in the performing arts had taught them.

Today, that story continues through every student who grows in confidence, supports others, and discovers what they are capable of—both onstage and beyond.
