Hello!

We'd like to share the following information on our dress code once again to all of our current and new students.

GENERAL DRESS DRESS CODE INFO

*If your child has sensory issues that have been specifically diagnosed, please discuss with us so we can find a suitable option and plan for your child regarding our dress code.

ALL CLASSES - GIRLS

  • Black dancewear must be worn for all classes, with the exception of Hip Hop.

  • Crop tops, half tops, or sports bras (with nothing worn over them) are not allowed for any classes.

  • Teen dancers must wear cover-ups outside of the studio. (Please do not leave the studio wearing only a leotard and tights.)

  • Black, skin tone and pink tights are acceptable for girls. Please wear the appropriate color for your specific class.

  • Girls’ dancewear (for all classes except Hip Hop) includes leotards, jazz pants, leggings, fitted tank tops, and sheer ballet skirt (for ballet only). Elaborate skirts or tutus are not allowed. Unitards and biketards are ok.  No booty shorts.

  • Girls must wear their hair off of their face for all classes and in a neat bun or up-do for ballet.

  • BAS T-shirts may be purchased in our lobby for $15

ALL CLASSES - BOYS

  • Black dancewear must be worn for all classes, with the exception of Hip Hop.

  • Boys’ dancewear includes BAS T-shirts, solid (plain) Black or White T-shirts or tank tops, black athletic shorts, athletic pants, jazz pants, tights, or sweat pants.

  • Boys 11 and older must wear a dance belt under tights, jazz pants, and biker shorts.

  • BAS T-shirts may be purchased in our lobby for $15

SHOES

  • Please label all shoes with first initial and last name.

  • Dance shoes must be worn ONLY in the dance studio.  Please do not wear your dance shoes from the car to class.  This brings oil, dirt, gravel and other foreign objects onto the dance floor and can ruin not only the floor but also your shoes.

  • We recommend Capezio and Bloch brands for shoes.  Amazon also sells Capezio and Bloch shoes. Please don't purchase tap shoes from Target and Walmart as they are not properly made and can scratch floors.

  • Bloch - www.blochworld.com
