The dress code is important at Broadway Arts Studio because uniformity helps to create order in the studio for optimal learning. At this time we are relaxing our dress code, however, please see below for specific dress code requirements.
Ballet- Leotard and tights, ballet shoes. Hair in a bun, off of the face. No tutus or skirts.
Tap/Jazz- Leotard and tights or leggings and full-length dance top (no midriffs or shorts), Tap or Jazz shoes. Hair pulled back off of the face, secured in a ponytail or bun.
Hip Hop- Loose clothing, smooth, soft-soled sneakers, or jazz shoes. Hair pulled back off the face.
BOYS- Athletic shorts or pants and a plain white or black t-shirt. Proper dance shoes.
Please purchase your dance shoes at a dance supply store and not Target or other department stores. The quality of the shoes sold at other stores is often poor and results in loose screws on taps that scrape the floors and improperly sewn-on elastic bands.
