• K2Dance offers kindergarten through second grade students:

• Leveled training so dancers are in classes with students of similar ages and skill levels.

• Class syllabi with benchmarks giving dancers a sense of accomplishment and confidence as they master dance skills.

• First and second grade students have performance opportunities through our upcoming BAS performance group.

ACTING/MUSICAL THEATRE

BROADWAY PLAYHOUSE JR (classes for ages 5-7) &

BROADWAY PLAYHOUSE (classes for ages 7-9)

Budding performers will have a blast as they work together to "put on a show" at the end of each month. Students will learn stage presence, simple dance routines, and have miles of fun in the Broadway Playhouse! Your child who loves acting, singing, and dancing will thrive in this class that focuses on dance styles found in Broadway musicals. Students not only learn dance technique, but also work on acting skills and performing with emotion and stage presence.

DANCE

BALLET/JAZZ COMBO (ages 5-7) 

BALLET/JAZZ COMBO I, II, and III– It’s the best of both worlds! In one hour, your child will begin with the classic technique of ballet and end with the fun and funky dance moves of jazz. Each dance form compliments the other as students gain a solid dance base and have tons of fun in the process. Level I (ages 5-6) is designed for kindergarteners and also first graders with no ballet/jazz dance experience. Ballet/Jazz II (ages 6-7) is for first graders with previous dance experience and also second graders with no dance training. Level III (ages 7+) is geared toward second graders who have studied dance (at BAS or elsewhere) in the previous season.

TAP/BALLET COMBO (ages 5-7)

TAP/JAZZ COMBO I, II, AND III– (ages 5-7) What kid wouldn’t love to make noise with their feet and then bust a move to cool tunes? Tap, tap, tap to the music and then get moving with some awesome jazz dancing. Your child will have a great time learning both disciplines of dance in one class. Cool, fun, and action packed! Level I (ages 5-6) is designed for kindergarteners and also first graders with no tap/jazz dance experience. Tap/Jazz II (ages 6-7) is for first graders with previous dance experience and also second graders with no dance training. Level III (ages 7+) is geared toward second graders who have studied tap/jazz dance (at BAS or elsewhere) in the previous season.​

POM/JAZZ COMBO (AGES 5-7)

Preschoolers will have a blast as they explore Cheer/POM and Jazz basics in this foundational dance class.

PRE-BALLET (ages 6-7)  

Your child will be introduced to the joys of ballet study through imaginative and creative exercises designed to develop studio etiquette, active listening, coordination, and spatial awareness. ​

ACROBATICS I (ages 5-7 ) Bring out the mats and let’s get upside down! Students in level I focus on physical conditioning and agility as they learn handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, and other fun tumbling tricks. Students are challenged according to their individual skill level. 

HIP HOP/JAZZ COMBO (5-7)

Students will love this fun blend of Hip Hop and Jazz dance as we break down the different styles and techniques in these complementary styles.

HIP HOP FUNDAMENTALS 1A & 1B (ages 7+)

Students will learn the fundamentals of Hip Hop dance as we break down the different styles, technique and origins of Hip Hop movement. Styles include Old School, House, Illusion, Popping and more! Ages 7+.

TAP 1A & 1B (ages 7+)

Beginner tappers start with the basics of tap technique and move on to learn fun combinations that develop memory skills, agility and musical know-how.
