Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Irvine and Los Angeles area Dance Teachers/Musical Theatre Instructors Wanted

 

Broadway Arts Studio is a quickly growing, non-competition dance and performing arts studio that is always on the lookout for energetic, fun, qualified teachers who love children and love teaching dance, voice, and acting. We offer teaching artists the opportunity to teach dance not only in the studio, but also daytime hours for offsite programs in area schools. Background clearances are required.

 

For our teaching artists Broadway Arts Studio offers:

  • Paid teacher meetings.

  • A stipend for working at the recital and other studio productions.

  • The potential for teacher training and development opportunities paid for by Broadway Arts Studio.

  • Possible teaching opportunities offsite musical theatre programs at local schools and community events.

  • Other opportunities at our front desk and other roles.

Broadway Arts Studio is accepting submissions for teaching artists for recreational classes starting in late January, spring break camps, summer camps, master classes and Broadway Basics Workshops. We are also looking to expand our substitute teaching positions. Please see descriptions below:

  • Ballet– All ballet instructors should be good with working with children, have the ability to teach solid technique to a wide range of levels, and provide quality training in a positive learning environment. (Cecchetti method preferred.)

  • Tap– Looking for instructors with a strong knowledge of tap and the ability to help students fall in love with this art form. Knowledge of musical theatre style tap is a strong plus.

  •  Jazz/Contemporary– Looking for teachers with a strong range of technical styles with a heart for students all ages and abilities. 

  • Musical Theatre Dance– Because Broadway Arts Studio is dedicated to teaching authentic musical theatre dance, instructors must have significant musical theatre performing experience with exposure to different musical theatre choreographic styles.

  • Combination Classes– Broadway Arts Studio offers one hour combination classes for students age 5-7 in Tap/Jazz and Ballet/Jazz. Instructors for these classes should be proficient in the styles being taught, as well as appropriate knowledge of pedagogy for this age group.

  • Preschool Dance– Broadway Arts Studio’s preschool dance classes are fast-moving, fun, and engaging. Instructors must love preschoolers and will teach a combination of tap, acrobatics, and dance basics to this age group. A general outline of the class structure will be given to these instructors.

  • Acrobatics– All acrobatics instructors must have former acro teaching or gymnastics coaching experience. 

  • Hip Hop– Broadway Arts Studio's hip hop classes are squeaky clean and super family friendly. The style is open to legit or commercial hip hop. We keep choreography and costuming appropriate for students of all ages. Hip hop classes start at age 8.

  • On Camera- TV and film experience required. 

  • Broadway Basics Musical Theatre Program- Our signature Musical Theatre training program is divided into three age groups.  Instructors should have significant musical theatre performing experience and knowledge, be quick to adapt and proficient in acting and voice. A general class outline and curriculum will be provided to these instructors.
