DARCIE & TROY
The husband and wife team of Darcie Roberts Magino and Troy Magino are the founders of Broadway Arts Studio.
Collectively, they bring their combined 60 plus years of knowledge working with some of the industry’s most recognizable, beloved and acclaimed talents. Their work spans every sector of the entertainment field including, tv, film, commercials, industrials, concerts, recordings, voice-overs, readings, workshops, regional theatre, music videos, tours, Disney, and their home away from home, Broadway. Both have been sought out to teach master and private classes around the world.
Darcie's Broadway debut was at the age of 19 where she performed the three leading-lady roles in the Tony Award-winning production of "CRAZY FOR YOU.” She is a legitimate triple-threat starring in dozens of Broadway and Regional productions including being cast as a Radio City Rockette. She has won several awards and nominations, starred in concerts for Presidents and Senators, and appeared with symphonies across the country. Her private voice students have gone on to appear on Broadway, in regional productions, The Voice, and TV.
Troy starred in several Broadway tours, alongside the Radio City Rockettes, appeared in productions at Disney World and Tokyo Disney, and over 40 regional productions. He has made several TV and music video appearances. Besides performing, Troy has been a creative consultant for Disney Entertainment. As an adjunct professor, he has taught Musical Theatre dance at UCI and Experimental Musical Theatre at the University of Southern California. As Director and Choreographer, he has helmed award-winning theatre productions across the nation. Many of Troy’s students have gone on to appear on Broadway and TV.
For Darcie and Troy, family comes first. They have four children and have been married for over 22 years. They actively volunteer in the community.
Their passion for mentoring the next generation of artists is what led them to create Broadway Arts Studio.
