Broadway Arts Studio Performance Company
Develop | Perform | Serve
Broadway Arts Performance company is a non-competitive performance group that gives performers a chance to shine at community events, theme parks, and other fun venues.
BAS Performance Company is designed for students who want to get more serious about their training. Our company is open to any student who meets the minimum class requirements and company class requirements. Performance classes will focus on building technique and serve as rehearsal time for upcoming events. Note that BAS Company students must attend 70% of their required BAS Company classes. This attendance requirement will be calculated/assessed during the following three time periods: September-December, January-March, and April-June.
Team Broadway Company is open to ages 7 and up.
The weekly class requirements are as follows:
At least one group voice class or equivalent
At least one classic technique class (Tap/Ballet, Tap/Jazz, Musical Theatre Dance, Tap, Jazz or Ballet class).
PLUS Team Broadway class
In addition to Broadway Arts Studio’s year-end show, BAS Performance Company will participate in 5-6 performances a year. These will include community events, nursing homes, fairs, theme parks and special events.
At Broadway Arts Studio, we believe that our gifts should be used to serve others. Whether dancing at a nursing home or in a Broadway show, the performer’s obligation is to share their talents as a gift to the audience, to the best of their ability. This is at the heart of Broadway Arts Studio. We believe that when you elevate the art, you elevate the heart. Our BAS Companies will also have group serve opportunities within the community that don’t include a performance.
