CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All classes for ages 10 and up
Classes are perfect for teens and tweens whether you are just starting out or have been training for years.
DANCE
Ballet 1 (ages 8+)
This is the place to start for dancers who want to explore the beautiful artistry of classical ballet. This beginning level class is beneficial for posture and focus while establishing a strong technical foundation for other forms of dance.
Ballet 2 (ages 11+)
For dancers with previous ballet training. Ballet technique will continue to be strengthened with more challenging barre and center floor combinations.
Tap 1 (ages 8+)
Beginner tappers start with the basics of tap technique and move on to learn fun combinations that develop memory skills, agility and musical know-how.
Tap 2/3 (ages 10+)
Dancers build on Tap 1 technique, learning rhythmic tap combinations that require weight changes and more intricate footwork.
Jazz 1 (ages 8+)
An exciting introduction to the world of classic jazz dance, students will learn proper technique while maintaining age appropriateness in music and style.
Jazz 2 (ages 11+)
Building on previous dance experience, students will grow in versatility as they cross-train in jazz styles such as contemporary, lyrical, and classical jazz.
Hip Hop Fundamentals (ages 8+)
Dancers build core strength and learn the fundamentals of Hip Hop including the origins of the various styles including House, Funk, Old School, and more. Dancers are also given the tools to develop their own creative style and voice through freestyle dancing. Like all classes at Broadway Arts Studio, music for hip hop classes is free of suggestive or inappropriate lyrics and choreography is cool, hip, and current while maintaining modesty and integrity.
Musical Theatre Dance 1 (ages 8-12)
This beginning level class focuses on different dance styles found on the Broadway stage and other theatrical venues. This class is great for beginner/intermediate level dancers and singers who wish to improve the dance aspect of their triple threat.
Musical Theatre Dance 2/3 (ages 12+)
Dancers who dream of performing on Broadway are challenged with contrasting musical theatre styles that require both dance technique and performance quality. This class is geared toward students with previous dance training.
ACTING CLASSES:
Acting Improv Technique (Online, ages 11+)
Learn the technique behind making quick choices and saying "yes" as an actor. Important skills every actor should have. Improv helps children grow with creative thinking skills, active learning, engagement, respect, bonding, and confidence.
Demystifying Monologues (Online, ages 11+)
In one of our most requested classes, teen actors will learn all about monologues! How to find one, how to make sure it’s the right fit, the right length, how to perform it, and how to sell it! Don’t be intimidated by needing a monologue. We’ve got you covered!
Intro to Shakespeare (Online, ages 11+)
This is your introduction to the world of William Shakespeare! In this ongoing summer class, teen actors will learn how to find Shakespeare material, how to read and understand the text, and how to create characters within the text that brings this enticing material to life!
*On-Camera Acting (ages 8+)
Big dreams of being on TV or the big screen? Start with this class and learn everything you need to know to get started!
*Intro to Voice Over (ages 8+)
An introductory class to the art of Voice -over. Students will learn voice-over audition technique, voicing video games, animation, commercials, and work with a top voice-over artist.

Acting 2
Acting at Broadway Arts Studio is designed to build on the student's natural ability to use their imagination and environment to create interesting characters and back story. With a strong emphasis on character development and acting technique, teen actors will gain confidence and excellent skills to bring the story to life.

YOUTH THEATRE
All classes for ages 8 -12
3rd through 5th-grade students build confidence and make friends in dance and theatre classes that are fun and centered on solid technique.
Ballet 1 (ages 8+)

Learn to move and groove with Hip Hop style in this awesome class that combines technique with dance combinations with a fun, hip hop flare.
Just Dance (ages 6-9)
A lively class that gets everyone moving! No need for special shoes or equipment. Kids will love learning some short and simple dance combos that are fun, age-appropriate, and tik-tok approved! Get off the couch and Just Dance!
Broadway Playground (ages 6-9)
Budding performers will have a blast as they work together to "put on a show" at the end of each month. Students will learn stage presence, simple dance routines, and have miles of fun in the Broadway Playground!
Musical Theatre Dance 1 (ages 8-12)
Any child who loves dancing and being on stage will thrive in this jazz-based class that focuses on dance styles found in Broadway musicals. Students not only learn dance technique but also work on acting skills and performing with emotion and stage presence.

Acting at Broadway Arts Studio is designed to build on the student's natural ability to use their imagination and environment to create interesting characters and back story. Script analysis and character discovery take this class to the next level for 9-11 year-olds.
Improv
Learn to love improv in this popular and super fun class where imagination rules and courage takes root.
Song Study

MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY
YOUTH THEATRE
All classes for ages 5-9
Broadway Arts Studio program for students in kindergarten through second grade is your child’s happy place! Students learn solid technique and leave class confident, energized and eager to practice at home.
Tap/Ballet/Jazz Combo (ages 5-7)
Combo classes offer the best of both worlds! In 45 minutes, your child will begin with the fun foundations of tap and end with the classic technique of ballet and jazz. Students will gain a solid dance base and have plenty of fun in the process.
Pre-Ballet (ages 6-7)
Your child will be introduced to the joys of ballet study through imaginative and creative exercises designed to develop studio etiquette, active listening, coordination, and spatial awareness.
Broadway Playground (ages 6-9)

PRE-K BALLET/TAP COMBO (AGES 3-5)
Preschoolers will have a blast as they explore ballet and tap basics in this foundational dance class.

Preschoolers will have a blast as they explore ballet and dance basics in this foundational dance class.
CREATIVE PLAYHOUSE JR. (AGES 4-6)
Imaginations soar in this class that's a blast for your pre-schooler as they creatively explore the foundations of singing, acting, and dancing! Dance styles include Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop.
PRE-BALLET (ages 6-8)
Your child will be introduced to the joys of ballet study through imaginative and creative exercises designed to develop studio etiquette, active listening, coordination, and spatial awareness.
MUSICAL MINIS
Our BAS Musical Mini classes are divided into three parts. Each week we start with tap, then transition to dance basics and then enjoy some time singing together. Classes are set to fun age-appropriate music and lyrics. *Class has been modified for online learning.
WIGGLE & FLOW
Imaginations will soar as little ones become dinosaurs, flowers, princesses, trees, and more! This engaging, enjoyable class is sure to keep your little ones moving and shaking! Aimed at ages 4+

From Broadway, to college admissions, to Hollywood, our students have a track record of succeeding in the arts meeting and exceeding their personal goals.
Instead of competitions we offer performance opportunities, recitals and showcases both in studio and in the community. This enables our students to experience story-telling, teamwork and risk taking.
While we believe in teaching foundational technique, we don't believe that accomplishments come from how high you can kick or how many turns your can execute. While, it may be impressive, character married with a strong foundation matter more to us.

To ensure you are finding the right fit we have free trials for all of our classes.
It is important to us that we find the right class/time for you and your kiddos. We would love to set up a personal consultation with you to ensure we are meeting your individual needs and matching your student’s goals.
We have open enrollment, meaning that you can join at any time. We charge for classes monthly and if you join mid-month your tuition would be pro-rated.
